One of the main reasons Zappos became a success is because everyone shared the same message which arouses enthusiastic approval among customers. The beauty of sharing the same word is that the result is predictable. Brian Tracy can attest to this because he’s known for saying, “Success is predictable.” Successful communication is foreseen because it yields the same result every time. You know your message is a success when the average Joe gets the big picture immediately without looking at the blueprint. A precise, succinct, and consistent message produces the desired result every time. A friend of mine recently filed a patent for an invention. It was impressive to watch him outline all the steps to get approved. The idea is that if anyone follows the steps, that individual should get the same result on every attempt. As long as the person follows the steps, the result is predictable. It should outline a pattern for you and your organization to support that furnishes the same desired effect with your eyes closed. A thriving message works as a patent because it produces the same outcome every time. Here are four questions to ponder today.
1. What is your message?
2. If it’s hope, does it make people come alive?
3. Or does it stretch you like Microsoft which wants to help individuals and businesses realize their full potential?
4. If that’s the case how does your message empower your desired audience?
