INVEST IN YOU

Don’t wait for someone to come and help you achieve success. What if that person doesn’t show up? Hmm, that’s something to consider. Invest in yourself. Don’t invest in things that depreciate. Invest in things that are appreciated. Your mind appreciates knowledge. I learned about a young boy who received his first summer job. His family was happy because they knew he’d save for college. His first check went into a $1200 pair of sneakers. Sneakers drop in value the moment you wear them. We can agree that he made a bad investment. The better choice was education. If you need help, reach higher. Somebody told me that “they are people with knowledge waiting to help you but they are not coming down to your level. They are waiting for you to come up to their level.” You get to their level by first investing in you.
