Identify those who are in your corner. A boxer never goes in the ring without his team. Those in his corner provide physical and emotional support. You need the same. When you get beaten up in the marketplace, you need the right folks in your corner to massage you with the right words. Sometimes just seeing the right people will help lessen the pain you endured for the day. For example, a new mother cannot explain the joy she receives when her baby greets her with a warm smile. Even though you received some heavy blows at work, a warm smile, hug, or words of encouragement from a loved one can cheer you up. Don’t give up. Do what Lennox Lewis, the former professional boxer, said recently while commentating during a fight. He said, and I paraphrase, keep your hands up, chin down, press forward, and step out again in the ring of life. You are still the champ!
